About MacKillop Construction
I’ve been doing construction work since I was 23 years old. After getting my license in 1983, I started MacKillop Construction to provide building and remodeling services for homeowners in the North Bay Area. During the last 34 years, MacKillop Construction has handled a wide range of projects, from remodeling kitchens and bathrooms to building decks and patios.
From the beginning, I have taken a customer-oriented approach to the job, and after 34 years, this is just as important to me as ever. I listen carefully to my clients so I can understand and provide what they’re looking for. I also make it a point to do one project at a time, which enables me to entirely focus on each client and not be distracted by other jobs. Having satisfied clients is not only what keeps me in business, but it’s also what keeps me motivated.
Additionally, I place a high priority on doing things in a legally and environmentally responsible way. I adhere to local building codes on every project, including Title 24 energy efficiency requirements. I also try to minimize the environmental impact of my work by using eco-friendly methods and sustainable materials like FSC Certified lumber from Walk Green Certified Wood Products. Where some building contractors might try to cut corners, I feel it’s in the best interest of my customers, my business and the environment to do things right, even if it takes a little longer or costs a little more.
Overall, my goal as owner of MacKillop Construction is to provide a combination of top-notch workmanship and honest, responsible service that results in complete customer satisfaction with every project.
